A shimmering gold and silver original contemporary painting in acyrlic on board 20 x 20cm
Inspired by an old gold Japanes box, I wanted to capture the feeling of Zen.
'Balance' is a title that speaks on many levels:
The one legged yogic pose of the the heron,
The life or death that is determined by the flash of the razor sharp beak,
To the environmental balance needed for life and how each life is precariously reliant on everything around it.
Framed in a beautifully hand made, white St Ives frame measuring 36 x 36 cm.
I create these paintings by adding layer, upon layer of paint. I use many different techniques to apply the paint, as well as scratching down with various tools to reveal layers underneath.
My paintings are full of meaning and filled with colour, love and joy.
This painting is signed on the back. The frame is complete with d-rings and hanging string so it is ready to go straight on the wall.
