An original contemporary mixed media painting.
Inspired by the tenacity of these little birds that fly over to summer with us from Africa, spending the entire journey on the wing with no rest.
Around the edge of the painting I've written a poem:
If only you knew you could fly.
Thoughts cloud the brightest sky.
Let love unfurl wings untried,
Realise what's inside.
Spirit beneath outstretched wings,
Swoop and soar as freedom sings.
I create these paintings by adding layer, upon layer of paint. I use many different techniques to apply the paint and as well as scratching down with various tools to reveal layers underneath.
The painting is acyrlic on box canvas 60 x 45 x 5cm
This painting is unframed, signed on the back and complete with d-rings and hanging string so it can go straight on the wall.
I carefully wrap and despatch orders as soon as possible and send via a signed for service.
