An original contemporary painting.
 
As with most paintings from my Spirit Animal series, a lion magically emerged from an abstract panel I was working on.  I always honour these animals as they appear, gently encouraging them out from the painting.
 
‘Sun God’ brings light, warmth and light, but it is powerful, and must be respected.  Dispelling darkness in his wake, but with balance.  Light and darkness will forever be paired, as it is one and the same.  The composition has a Yin Yang balancing.
I create these paintings by adding layer, upon layer of paint.  I use many different techniques to apply the paint, as well as scratching down with various tools to reveal layers underneath.
 
My abstracts are full of meaning and filled with colour, love and joy.
 
The painting is acyrlic mixed media on aluminium panel 40 x 40cm 
 
This painting is framed in a professionally made white tray frame, signed on the back and complete with d-rings and hanging string so it can go straight on the wall.
